Installation of software results in the message “Newer version already installed”.

Problem:

If VC/ED 2.3 is uninstalled, and VC/ED 2.2.2 is then installed, during the install a message appears “Newer version already installed”.

 Solution:

The resolution is to remove Micro Focus License Manager before installing VC/ED 2.2.2.
