Problem:
When installing the WrapPack I get the following error message:
Internal Error 2755. 1612,
C:\\WINDOWS\\Installer\\xxxxxxxx.msi
Internal Error 2755. 1612,
C:\\WINDOWS\\Installer\\xxxxxxxx.msi
Resolution:
The error means:
2755 - Server returned unexpected error
attempting to install package
.
1612 - The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it
Some suggestions to check:
Check the permissions on the installer folder. The permissions on the Installer folder should be Everyone - Read Administrators - Full System - Full.
Do you have administrator permissions on the machine?
Are you running from the local C drive?
Is there sufficient disk space on the C drive?
If you are not running from the C drive, try running the wrappack from the C drive and not from any other drives including mapped network drives.
Did you use the full universal naming convention (UNC) path on the command line or run the installation from the Terminal Server console?
Are you using a Terminal Server or Remote Desktop connection:
An error occurs running Windows Installer installation on Terminal Server or Remote Desktop connection:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/255582/en-us
The msi may be locked by another msiexec process. Can you reboot the machine and install Wrap Pack again?
How are you running the Wrap Pack install, from the GUI (by double clicking on the .msp file) or command line?
If the reboot does not resolve the issue, try running the .msp from the command line and send us the log file.
E.g: start /wait msiexec /update rvp3270080004.msp /l*v wpinstall.txt
