Problem:
Is Mainframe Access compatible with z/OS 1.4 running 64-bit?
Resolution:
Yes.
If you are running MFA 2.0 PTF 7 or MFA 3.0, you should not have any problems with 64-bit. They are written using 31-bit addressing that is compatible with IBM s 64-bit implementation.
The version of MFA can be determined by looking at the MFA started task job log. You will see something like...

As for z/OS 1.4, we have not tested directly with this version. We had z/OS 1.2 on our mainframe and have recently upgraded to z/OS 1.5 and have not experienced any issues with either version. Several of our customers are running with z/OS 1.4 and none have reported problems.
