Problem

Is the Modernization Workbench tool "DBSchema" available with Enterprise Analyzer 3.5 ?

Resolution

The DBSchema "tool" is not visible in the Enterprise Analyzer 3.5 product, but the re-vamped functionality is included with the installation of Enterprise Analyzer 3.5 Hot Fix 5.

To activate the "tool"

1.  Place the attached file  DBSchema.Plugin.XML into the <EA Installation>/Plugins  directory

2. Run  ReScan.EXE "As Administrator" from the <EA Installation>/BIN directory.

3. When prompted, complete the Configuration.

This should configure the product to allow you to use the old tool redelivered for EA 3.5.

The TOOL option "DB Schema" will appear on the ANALYZE menu.

This method is easier to administer because there is no need to keep any XML updated, because the plugin will do that for you, each time you run ReScan.exe.
