The table, we trying to write on file have more than 22 million rows. It is working fine in older version of ES (v2.3). When we are trying to run the same recompile program in Enterprise Server V8.0, it gives the above error. When we limit the rows to 6 months date range, it works fine in V8.

Hi,

I recommend you to take the following approach:

-If not using the latest v8.0 Patch Update then consider installing this as a test, then check if the issue is still seen. This will ensure you have the latest fixes/features.
If the issue persists consider to raise a support case so that this can be investigated further, please include a simplified test case that includes COBOL program containing theSQL Syntax used for the affected DBSAMPLE program, also which directives are used to compile the program, JCL job and export of region used (this can help understand the XA Switch if used) when seeing the issue, also include the full text of the error.

Thank you! We installed latest patch 17 for enterprise server 8 and re-run the job. It is working fine now.
