Situation

Enterprise Developer has a compiler directive NODYNAM that means any CANCEL statements in that COBOL program and ignored.
 

Cause

Can you have a mixture of DYNAM and NODYNAM compiled modules used in the same CICS transaction.
 

Resolution

Yes technically there is no issues. Modules compiled with NODYNAM will just have their CANCEL statements ignored. Modules compiled DYNAM will respect CANCEL statements.

Testing should be performed to ensure that logically the application provides the required results.
