The ESCWA user account filter is behaving like a "contains" filter rather than a "begins with" filter. Typing the letter "A" gives all user accounts that include an "A" somewhere in the ID.

Also, there doesn't appear to be any way to limit the values retrieved from the ESM LDAP server. In this case it retrieves the details for 28,000+ users before applying the filter.

Using the old ESA interface could set the filter to a letter where we have none (or very few) users to avoid a long delay in fetching all of the users. Then we could enter a search for a particular user. That doesn't appear to be possible using ESCWA.
