Problem:
As described in Data Express product documentation, Data Express can run as a 32 bit application in 64 bit systems. For some 64 bit systems (for example Windows 2008 Server) after installing the Distributed version of the product the Micro Focus XDB for DX 4.0 ODBC driver is not visible in the ODBC Data Source Administrator Driver menu.
Resolution:
In order to make visible the 32 bit ODBC drivers you can use one of the following ways:
1. Run the executable named “odbcad32.exe” in folder “C:\\Windows\\SysWOW64”. The ODBC Data Source Administrator menu appears. You can see all 32 bit drivers in the Driver menu.
2. Go to Start > Control panel > BDE Administrator (32 bit). BDE Administrator menu appears. Left click on the Objects button. From the drop down menu select ODBC Administrator. The ODBC Data Source Administrator menu appears. You can see all 32 bit drivers in the Driver menu.
