A COBOL source file was tranferred from the Mainframe to the PC using Drag and Drop. The file was edited in Notepad but when trying to drag the file back to the Mainframe, "MFDAS01: Mainframe access problem. Reason: Record exceeds internal length limit" was issued.

Modifying the source in Notepad caused a Carriage Return Line Feed problem. Using the Mainframe Express IDE to edit the source file prevented the problem from occuring again.
