Whenever ES Server goes for a reboot MFDS Service doesnt go to stopped normally. In in the Windows System Event logs I could see that MFDS Service terminated unexpectedly, and also Fileshare service terminated unexpectedly. Other Micro Focus Services dont have this kind of event.

Since this is a production system need to know the impact of this happening repeatedly & also any workaround to avoid this events.

Hi,

How are you stopping MFDS or is this process/service hardkilled when the machine is rebooted?
If the process is hardkilled then you can expect some kind kind of error as the process may have been processing something at the time there fore an error is generated.

Also, as a test when you need to reboot again can you try to stop all other processes/services such as the regions/file share first, then lastly try to stop MFDS, does that help to avoid any error?

As a production system is involved and if you need any further assistance then I recommend you to consider raising  support case to seek further assistance that way, please include any useful information/history in the case description.

Should i stop the cics region first & then fileshare service ? also after server reboot whether cics region should be started first or fileshare service?

I suggest the following test: Stop all relevant processes, but stop MFDS before the restart of the machine, do you see the error?
