Problem:
When trying to Change Active Database Engine from 'XDB' to 'IBM DB2 for Windows' the change is not saved on exit from the Mainframe Express Database Configuration window.
Resolution:
This problem occurs in Windows 7 if the change has not been applied as Administrator.
1. Select Start > All Programs > Micro Focus Mainframe Express 3.1 > Configuration
2. Right Click on Database
3. Select 'Run as Administrator'
4. Accept the User Account Control Prompt
5. Make the required change to the Active Database Engine in the Mainframe Express Configuration Window.
6. Click ok
The changes should now be saved.
