Hi
How does the newcopy castran command works in a PAC environment? Do I need to perform a newcopy command in each region or only once?
When I look the PPT active entry for a PPT program I found that there is a box about PAC resident , what does it mean? How can I make a program PAC resident instead of region resident?
Best regards and thanks in advance?

My response: For this question, I do not see an option specifically named "PAC resident" on the PPT properties page, please share a screenshot or information where you find this option, I would like to understand that correctly, please also confirm the product version you are using e.g. v9.0 PU11?

Hi Horacio,
To add, for your 1st question, you only need to run the command once.

Hi Kim
Thanks for your reply. I am using MFES V7 PU 22 Linux version .
I am attaching the screenshot I get looking an active PPT entry when the field PAC resident is 0 . I assume that the program is not loaded n PSOR:
Do I need to execute ths caspac -aloadCICS command?
Best regards
Horacio

Hi Horacio,
See this documentation page for information regarding the caspac -aLoadCICS and the CICS NEWCOPY command:
https://www.microfocus.com/documentation/enterprise-developer/ed90/ED-VS2022/GUID-9FE5C7F4-4E1F-47FA-8457-726EB079D097.html
Have you tested this, does it work as you expect?
For the "PAC resident" part and what it means, the help icon explains "The number of programs resident in the server's program cache.".
