Problem:

When an application is run containing an IMS screen with a NODISP attribuite field, the field is still visible in MFE, when it needs to be invisible or hidden.  How can this be done.?

Resolution:

This is due to a setting in the IMS system properties.

Within the Mainframe Express project, open the IMS tab.

Highlight IMS SYSTEM and right click, from the context menu choose PROPERTIES.

When the properties dialogue opens, click on the TM/MFS tab.

At the top of the next window, the option DISPLAY HIDDEN FIELDS AS DIM is visible.

This option should be uncheckedso that the hidden fields become invisible.

Click OK to save the changes and restart the application.
