Am I correct in assuming that it is not possible to set the TN3270 listener so that it only accepts particular TN3270 screen sizes? I can see that you can set a default but not restricted the accepted values.
The problem is that the embedded Rumba TN3270 client defaults to 27x132, with no way I can see to change it. This doesn't work with my IMS application, which only has the MFS defined for 24x80.
I know I can switch to another TN3270 client that does permit setting the terminal size. But, I'm wondering why do I have to?
After all, on the real mainframe our TN3270 clients are set to mod 5 (27x132), but they automatically conform to the logmodes set by the VTAM applications. For example, when I select ISPF, my terminal is mod 5, but when I select an IMS region, the terminal is restricted to mod 2 -- without having to change the terminal settings.
So it seems like there should be a way to define this in Enterprise Server, but I can't find it.
