Oracle Client Installation and Configuration Information For Enterprise Analyzer

Problem:

Client is attempting to install and configure the Oracle 32-bit client for use with Enterprise Analyzer and an Oracle database.  During installation, certain information is needed to properly configure the Oracle client.

Resolution:

The following information is needed in order to configure the Oracle client.  This information can likely be obtained by the DBA in charge of administering the Oracle database.

1. OID (TSN name in oracle configuration)
2. DB Server address
3. User ID
4. User Password
5. Host for Listener :
   1. Listener Name
   2. Listener Port Number
   3. Service Name
