Problem:

It was pointed out earlier in the week that the COBOL code in ABCDEF12.CBL was out of date and was replaced (2 years ago) by ABCDEF12.COB.  Both of these are present in the source files one at \\Revolve Data\\OLDE\\dbCobol\\ and the other at \\Revolve Data\\OLDE\\Cobol\\ though only one the .CBL program was loaded to the Project.  So, last night the .CBL program was deleted from the project and removed the source from the directory, the updates were done and then added the "new" modules, which then rebuilt the project.  Updated the Share.  After drilling down to ABCDEF12.COB and try to display source - nothing displays.

Then different things were tried:

1) deleting the ABCDEF12.COB program, re-built the project, updated the Share; then added the program back, re-parsed, updated the Share and still the source would not display.

2) On the off chance there was something wrong with the copy that existed, it was copied down from the main-frame again but still could not display the source.

3) Experimented a little and created another project with only source code in the project was/is this module - then and only then could ABCDEF12.COB source code be displayed.

Resolution:

Open the Project

go to Project/Administrator

In Project Manager

expand the COBOL folder

find ABCDEF12

       Highlight it -

If ABCDEF12 isn't found -

         i.   If it's there  -  delete it - the go back to Revolve

ii.  If it's not there - go back to Revolve

Press the

   add ABCDEF12 (the correct one)

Press MAKE

Go to Project/Update Shared
