Problem:

You need to confirm that an environment variable as seen by Visual Studio is what you expect it to be and matches the value in Enterprise Server.

Solution:

Process Explorer is not part of Enterprise Developer.   This is a Microsoft utility that you can download from: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx

For example, if you wanted to check the value of COBDIR, you would:

1. Run process explorer
2. Bring up Mainframe Explorer in Enterprise Developer (version 2.2 )
3. Check the value shown for COBDIR in Process Explorer
4. Compare that to the value in Enterprise Server’s Env.Vars.*

*To see the Env.Vars in Enterprise Server

            1. Start the region in Enterprise Server à Details àESMACàJESàEnv.Vars.
