This article describes how to resolve an error message that occurs when invoking a NEWCOPY using the castran utility.

Problem:

When using the castran utility to invoke the NEWCOPY function, we received an error message even though the program did exist:

xxx123 not found in PPT

-Return Code: 12

Resolution:

The program ID is case sensitive. If you specify the program ID in lower case characters, but the actual program ID is in upper case, then changing the case of the program ID and running the castran utility again will resolve the issue.
