Problem:
We have built a Revolve project but found many missing files (copybooks, procs and control cards).
When we go to the Project Complete window and expand 'copybooks not found' the list appears, but to find out what module called the missing item you have to click on "go to". This displays the program or JCL referencing the missing file, but the list can not be saved for printing or to pass it to another user/department. How can we get the list Revolve built?
Resolution:
In this case, the customer was using these steps:
- Project>Complete>Copybooks/Procs Not Found
- Highlight the list presented and then select 'Go To'
- The program that referenced the missing copybook was displayed,
but it could not be saved to a text file in the format of:
copybook pgm1
copybook pgm2
copybook pgm3
...
Instead of selecting 'Go To' in the second step outlined above, one can select 'Information' and then the entire list presented can be highlighted. Next, click on the Toolbar icon for 'Expand One Level'. The list generated from this action can be saved to a .TXT file and passed to another user/department and it will be in the desired format detailing the missing file and those programs / JCL files that reference the missing items.
