Proxy Configuration for SOAP Web Services

Hello experts,

 

customer wants to consume a SOAP Web Service from either a generated COBOL Cliebnt or from within a CICS transaction (consumer). The URL of the Web Service can only be reached via a proxy. Which options exist to configure the proxy in a way that the Web Service caller can reach the Web Service URL via the proxy server?

Hi Rolf, if I'm understanding your question correctly, you can call the "set-srvc-address" entry point in the COBOL client proxy to set the endpoint address of the service (or of the proxy server for the service).
