Hi,

I wanted to verify and analyze application running in distributed network.  For this when i tried to add *.JAVA files to the new project created it is not getting registered as the extension is UNKNOWN.

Also, i am not able to see JAVA as SOURCE TYPE under REGISTRATION -> EXTENSION.

Another issue is like in CONFIGURATION MANAGER programming language like COBOL,C,JSP, C#, etc are present but i would like to add JAVA source files and some batch SCRIPTS.

Please suggest me on what needs to be done. Am i looking incorrectly?

Note: I am using ENTERPRISE ANALYZER 3.4

Hi Ek,

this kind of question should be addressed to Support rather than the Community pages (supportline.microfocus.com).

You probably have not configured EA for Java. Go to EA Administrator and start Configure MF EA from the Administer menu. In the dialogue you will see an entry for a number of languages - check the box for Java

You will have to install the JAVA add-on on top of the EA installation. This comes along with your EA software. Once installed, you will be able to see JAVA listed as one of the languages to configure.

Hi Niels,

Sorry for putting up in wrong place if so.

I have not installed JAVA add-on on top of the EA installation. Now it works fine.

Thanks for your response!
