--#SET DELIMITER not accepted by HCO Tools

Problem:

The execution of a DDL in Tools - HCO does not allow you to change the statement delimiter or terminator during execution. For example:

--#SET DELIMITER ]

create trigger  TGSCL01 no cascade before insert on

TSCL001 referencing new as new_ins for each row mode db2sql when (new_ins.BTNR is not null)

  begin atomic

    set new_ins.GTXTYPE = 'KAAC'  ;

END ]

--#SET DELIMITER ;

same with  --#SET TERMINATOR ;

Resolution:

Changing the statement terminator during execution is not possible in IBM DB2 for Windows either.

In both environments, UDB and HCO, you may specify a delimiter character in the tool options. This can be achieved in the HCO Configuration or in the DB2 Command Editor. However all statements must be terminated by the same character.
