Problem: How to set the port range on the ES during remote debugging.

Solution:

Define the environment variable ES_DDBG_PORT_RANGE on the ES Configuration Information.

The formats of the ES_DDBG_PORT_RANGE variables are:
ES_DDBG_PORT_RANGE=XXXXX-YYYYY
ES_DDBG_PORT_RANGE=XXXXX,ZZZZZ

The formats are as follows:
XXXXX  is the starting port in the range
YYYYY is the ending of the port range
ZZZZZ is the number of ports available from the starting range.

The ports can be set with a length of 5.  If a port range is 9111, the format must be 09111 when defined in the ES_DDBG_PORT_RANGE. However, the values can actually be up to six digits in length (although that would allow for an illegal port number) but they do not need to be zero-padded, right justified, ES_DDBG_PORT_RANGE=9111,15 would work.".

Example:

Ports 9111 to 9125 are the range of ports required to be opened for debugging. ES_DDBG_PORT_RANGE can be set  like the following:

1. ES_DDBG_PORT_RANGE=09111-09125             or
2. ES_DDBG_PORT_RANGE=09111,15
