This article explains what to do if the JCL option Submit to Mainframe is missing while in the Files or Workgroup view.
Problem:
While in the Files or Workgroup view, you should be able to right-click on a JCL file to display the Submit to Mainframe option, but it is missing from the context menu. Why is this?
Resolution:
The reason the Submit to Mainframe option is not showing is because you need to configure Source Connect before this option becomes available. It can be set via the Mainframe Express main menu, Options > Server Access Configuration. Define a mainframe node on the Node tab, then define a Source Connect drive on the Source Connect tab using the node name just defined.
Note: If you connect to multiple mainframes, it is possible to have multiple nodes. Each must be defined with separate Source Connect IDs. For example, one for SYSA and one for SYSB.
