Looks like the diagramming feature of BAV now uses Tom Sawyer. Via options, it also alloww the use of business names. But when it does, it replaces the instance name with the buinsess name. In Diagrammer, each box includes the object type, the instance name, and optionally the business name and description.
If BAV is just going to replace instance name with business name, that may not be enough. You may need to include the object type and/or some type of legend to describe what types of objects are represented by the different colors.
Don't know if it's by design, but BAV is also a bit limiiting in what it shows.
BAV only identifies / shows the first application program executed in each step. It also shows all the data sets accessed by the step. But since it doesn't identify / show all the programs downstream from the first program in each step, it doesn't know which programs - if any - are really using that data set.
