Problem:

When using Mainframe Express with a temporary license a license expiry message is displayed each time a batch process is run. Is it possible to hide this message? If so, how?

Resolution:

To switch off the pop-up message the following environment variable has to be set to Y: PROT_NOCHECKDIALOG=Y. It only needs to be set once in the environment you are running mfecl command in or as a system wide environment variable.

This will only work if there are more than 15 days remaining in the evaluation period. If there are less than 15 days it will revert to its normal behavior and the expiry warning will pop up again. In this case the customer will have to either purchase a new license or ask for a new 30-day license.
