Problem:

Using the following syntax, not getting the correct results:

>>vvar:=(5-3)

>>show vvar

5

Using script - getting error that it can't find the variable:

vX:= 10;

While (vX > 1)

{

  show "hello",vX;

  vX:= (vx-1);

}

Resolution:

when doing the subtractions, spaces need to be in the parantheses around the number, variable -

>>vvar:=( 5 - 3 )

>>show vvar

2

>>vvar:=(5 - 3)

>>show vvar

2

and in the script:

vX:= 10;

While (vX > 1)

{

  show "hello",vX;

  vX:= ( vx - 1 );

}

>>invoke("c:\\rv\\subtract.rqc")

hello9

hello8

hello7

hello6

hello5

hello4

hello3

hello2

it all depends on syntax of the statement.
