Problem:

When trying to open a worksheet channel in Revolve Enterprise Edition, the following error is encountered.  

Unable to open the work sheet due to the following error -

Unable to initialise DAO/Jet db engine

How can this be avoided...?

Resolution:

The solution to this, is to create a new worksheet from scratch.

There are four steps to this:

1) Replace tps\\Config\\Enterprise\\Settings\\Defaults\\Settings.MDB with a 'known good' version from another system (reinstalling the product should achieve the same result).

2) Go to the Enterprise subdirectory of the project and move out of the directory any .MDB files found there.

3) Temporarily disable any antivirus/antispyware/firewall products on the PC (if only Windows firewall is installed, it's OK to leave this).

Although Micro Focus are not aware of any such product interfering with Revolve (other than with line-of-code metering and licensing, which can be impacted by firewalls), the safest approach is to remove them from consideration.

4) Restart Revolve EE and try to create a new worksheet.
