Problem:
User Account Control in Windows Vista causes the CCITCP2 service handler to return an error on uninstall.
This is a known issue to our Development team.
Since the problem arose with the GA release of Mainframe Express 3.1 it can only be fixed in the next GA release, ie. Mainframe Express 4.0.
The internal RPI reference is: RPI 550367.
Resolution:
In the meantime, however, simply switch off the User Account Control when uninstalling via the Add/Remove Programs utility of the Control Panel.
The issue is currently documented in the readme for the WrapPacks which states:
"Uninstalling on Windows Vista
If you choose to uninstall this WrapPack through Control Panel > Program and Features, you must first ensure that User Account Control (UAC) is turned off. "
