Problem:

When editing an application component in APS z/OS, you receive a User 4093 abend code (U4028), reason code 28 (RC 28).

Resolution:

This abend is caused by a lack of memory resources in the TSO session. The default TSO startup size might be set too low. We recommend a minimum size of 4096. Increase the TSO startup size by entering it into the Size field on the TSO/E LOGON screen as depicted here:
