Problem :

When using Decision Resolution to resolve program calls, if the required entry point does not exist, how can the decision be resolved?

Resolution:

If the required Program Entry Point is not listed, so cannot be used in the resolution, a "New Target" can be created.

To create a "New Target" ...

- Open Decision Resolution

- From the VIEW menu, click on the "RESTRICT TO CURRENT PROJECT" and uncheck it.

- Highlight the required decision

- From the EDIT menu, choose "LINK NEW TARGET"

- Enter the "NEW Program Entry Point"

Note : You can mark the decision "Complete" by checking the "COMPLETED" option

- Click APPLY, then click OK

The Program Entry Point will be available for use in other decisions

This will create a  psuedo Program Entry Point and the relationship "Resolves to Program Entry Point", but ONLY if the changes made in Decision Reolution are SAVED and the Reporistory Browser view is refreshed.

The resolution is displayed in the Repository Browser, but marked as "unresolved" due to the use of this process and because the program has not been added to the workspace or project, or verified in the workspace or project.

This should only be used if the target is not currently in your project or workspace.
