V8 location in XDB

Problem:

What are the steps for changing from a V6 XDB Server location to a V8 XDB Server location.

Customer is moving to a V8 DB2 location and wants XDB to be as compatible as possible to what they are running on the mainframe.

Resolution:

First Change the XDB Server version to V8.

Second, back up the XDB Location you want to use as a V8 location.

Third, run the following command:

ALTER LOCATION location-name TO {VERSION {V41 | V51 | V60 | V71 | V80} |
