Verification Error with Missing Copybooks That Exist in Enterprise Analyzer Workspace

Problem:

User receives verification error stating that copybooks or other necessary files do not exist in workspace, despite the fact that that are loaded correctly and appear in workspace.  Any Homonym information is correctly set as well.  Any attempts to delete the copybooks or supporting files also result in an error message.

Resolution:

The Paths.db database file helps direct EA to the proper location of source files in the workspace for use in operations.  When this file is missing or corrupted, it can lead to issues like the ones mentioned above.  The EA Recovery utility, located in the Bin folder of the installation folder, can restore a Paths.db file.

1) Copy any existing Paths.db file into the workspace directory.

2) Run the EA Recovery utility and choose the RWP file for the workspace to restore the Paths.db file copied in Step 1.
