Enterprise Developer requires that Eclipse V3.7.1 or Visual Studio 2010 V1.5 is installed in order to provide full integration with Enterprise Developer. Here are the situations you might encounter:
- Eclipse or Visual Studio is already installed and the version is older than required
- Enterprise Developer installation packed will verify that during pre-requisites verification and will apply all the changes necessary
- Eclipse or Visual Studio is already installed and the version is newer than required
- Enterprise Developer should work just fine in this situation
- For Eclipse, Enterprise Developer will install Eclipse V3.7.1 if a different version is encountered. Different version of Eclipse can co-exist on the same machine.
- Eclipse or Visual Studio is not installed
- Enterprise Developer installation package will detect that Eclipse or Visual Studio needs to be installed and proceed with the IDE install as required by the installation process.
