Could you provide a brief clarification  of the purpose/functions of the two address spaces

MFA      and     MFAS      ??

Resolution:

MFA is the primary address space, handling Drag & Drop, Compare and Synchronization Monitor (Syncmon), and other functions. MFAS is a 'dependent' address space, used to handle Data Connect only. Data Connect is used when data files are left on the mainframe and accessed from Mainframe Express. If you don't use Data Connect, you don't need to run that address space.
