Problem:
My JCL produces message SORT230I and I can find no explanation in the Micro Focus documentation
Resolution:
The overflow message SORT230I is produced when internal fields used to calculate SUM results are too large to be written to one record, and need (a very small amount) of additional storage. This is part of the normal MFJSORT behaviour and can safely be ignored. The message is written to help to debug in case of failures.
The message was new in Server Express 5.1 WP6, but owing to an error, it was not documented correctly. The message wil be documented in future releases.
