Problem:

What is the relationship between the LU62 APPLID in MFA PARMS, LUNAME in MFA SERVERs and the 'PARM=APPLID=' in the MFAS proc?

Resolution:

MFA main started task has an APPLID (specified in LU62 APPLID of PARMS). The MFAS (DataConnect) region has its own APPLID (specified in 'PARM=APPLID=xxxxx' of MFAS proc

connection between the 2 regions is LUNAME in MFA SERVERs

If the main MFA task has APPLID A, and the MFAS region has APPLID B, then

in MFA.CNTL(PARMS) specify:

LU62 APPLID = A

In the MFAS proc, specify:

PARM=APPLID=B

In MFA.CNTL(SERVERS) specify:

<MFAID=DEFAULT>

LUNAME=B

TPNAME=FILESHR2

MODENAME=#INTER

SYNCLEVEL=1

SECURITY=NONE

At startup, the message:

XDRLU62  21          OPEN complete for MFA Server primary ACB A

will appear in the main MFA started task log.

The MFAS region will display:

MFA110I.MFAS.MFAFSQ00 / VTAM PROCESSOR ACTIVE USING VTAMAPPL B
