Problem
Will Internet Explorer v10/v11 work correctly with Enterprise View and Enterprise Analyzer Web against the same workspace?
Resolution
To be able to use Enterprise View (EV) with Internet Explorer (IE) v10/v11, IE compatibility mode needs to be turned on.
To be able to use Enterprise Analyzer (EA) Web with IE v10/v11, IE compatibility mode needs to be turned off.
This means that the compatibility mode needs to be changed if both EA Web and EV are to be used with IE v10/v11.
If Chrome or Firefox is available then it sensible to use either of those with EA Web and leave IE with compatibility mode turned on.
Note: With IE v11, compatibility mode is set at website level. This means that if EV and EA Web are pointed at different machines, then it possible to use EV and EA Web within the same Web Browser.
So for example if the host list for compatibility mode turned on is:
Localhost
Then EV will work with the following address as this uses a local Apache server:
http://localhost:8080/EV
This means that EA Web could work with the following address, as this uses a remote Apache server:
http://nwb-easerver01:8080/EAWeb/
This then allows both to be used in same browser and both will display correctly.
