This article explains what to do if after updating Mainframe Express to one of the last Web Syncs, the error X288 ocurrs when starting the SQL Wizard utility.
Problem:
When starting SQL Wizard from SQL for DB2 we received an x288 error. It happens after an upgrade to the latest Web Sync. How is this resolved?
Resolution:
To resolve this error, open Options > SQL for DB2 > Client from the main menu on Mainframe Express. The “Location” indicated on the “Connect To” submenu does not exist. To verify this, please click with the mouse on the entry-field “Locations”. Now click on the Browse button and check the list of all the Locations that do exist. If the location on the top entry-field does not exist on the list below, the location has been deleted. Choose an existing location from the list and exit. Now you can enter the SQL Wizard and from there recreate the original location or any other locations.
