Problem:

When trying to access XQD/SQL Wizard, error message X339: Error opening file XDB2CFG.XDB appears.

Resolution:

This is caused by a location being in the SYSTEM.SYSIBM.SYSLOCATIONS table, but has not been registered via the Gateway Profile, being used on the XDB Options CONNECT tab.

This file is connected to the use of the GATEWAY PROFILE, which is used to register a location on a mainframe.

This file stores some settings found in gateway profile utility (for XDB Link).

Gateway Profile creates the file if it doesn't exist, and updates it when it does exist.

File typically isn't present til customer runs gateway profile for first time.

To get to the gateway profile dialog, from the OPTIONS menu, choose SQL for DB2, then choose XDB LINK.
