This article explains how an xdb.ini file is generated and placed into the project folder.
Problem:
Mainframe Express has generated an xdb.ini file and placed it into my project directory. How can I stop this from happening?
Resolution:
Mainframe Express creates the xdb.ini file in the project directory when you have checked Project uses its own client side settings on the Project Settings dialog box's SQL tab. This version of the file contains the client-side settings and, when running the XDB client, the settings in this version of the file override the settings in the default xdb.ini file located in the mfuser\\config directory.
To prevent the generation of this xdb.ini file, or to prevent Mainframe Express from using this version of the file, uncheck Project uses its own client side settings.
