Problem:

N511 trying to use OpenESQL assistance for XDB Tutorial

Net Express 5.0 with SQL option for DB2 local.

Setup ODBC Datasource using Micro Focus XDB for NX 5 driver using default setting

In Net Express used tools menu to start OpenESQL Assistant select the new ODBC datasource

OK

Entered userid and password TUTORIAL

OK

Resolution:

The ODBC driver when installed will show the local server as LOCAL in the connection section of the ODBC DataSource configuration.

Correct the server name from LOCAL to the name of the machine that is running SQL Option for DB2 server.

If it is not local you will need to select remote and use the TCP option.
