In yesterday's webinar we had questions about our planned future telemetry support.   We envision telemetry providing ETX session statistics to a standard on-premise 3rd-party aggregation system. Please reply if you would find telemetry useful. Would OpenTelemetry work with any telemetry system you already have in place?  Let us know what use cases you see, and security concerns you have.

Thank you @Nathan Kidd , I’m very interested to learn about what our customers are using for observability. Using a platform like OTel would offer a mechanism that integrates into most commercial (and open source) telemetry vendors such as Graphana, Prometheus, Datadog, Application Insights and many more.

Seeing the recent announcement from Rocket Software about EVA, the enterprise virtual assistant - and thinking about the amount of telemetry information that could be collected with ETX - are there plans to unlock the potential of the data using EVA for real-time monitoring / problem solving and predictive analysis?

@Marcus Cowley We’re starting to do research of using Open Telemetry as the standard for observability/telemetry for ETX. That would make ETX work in a vendor neutral way. When I saw the announcement about EVA my head went on the same direction. We’ll have to research but there is nothing that should prevent EVA from sourcing telemetry data from ETX. You can think of this as making EVA be able to source OTel data which should be perfectly possible (maybe using the MCP capabilities of EVA).

I did a quick research and there are a few things out there that could help us here. We could get inspired for an integration with EVA from what others are doing:
