We had recently upgraded to iSeries OS V7R2 , and about the same time it was reported by our end users (Rumba version 9.4) that they were experiencing 'latency', 'slowness' 'missing character'( when typing quickly on the keyboard a character would not show up in the monitor .  typing on keyboard "ABCD" ... but only "ABD" display . this slowness is exhibited before pressing the <ENTER> key.

Has anybody else seen an issue like this?

Thanks

Jon

Hi blackwel1,

I would not expect an OS upgrade on the AS400 would have an effect of the speed at which end users can enter Alphanumeric data into the terminal. It might be different is they were sending aid keys (such as <Enter> <F Keys> etc.) that trigger communication between the Host and the Terminal.

I fear something else must be at play here. Have there been any changes on the Rumba/Client machine side?

Are your users still experiencing this issue? If yes, then I would advise you to open a support ticket.
