Using Rumba 7.0.1/Arpeggio Trying to upload a file to an AS400 system - worked for years, today, we get "Error attempting to open file" - server location\\.txt file

the file is there, users can access it, you can open it manually.

Any ideas?

Hi Lisa,

unfortunately the news is not good. Rumba 7.0.1 has been retired many years ago and have never been tested on any recent versions of Windows (I understand 7.0.1 is pre Windows 2000).

I can only imagine that the file in question (which you are attempting to upload) is locked for some reason, maybe it's open in an editor such as MS Word, and this is preventing the file from being read from disk.

I would strongly advise you to consider upgrading to a supported version of Rumba what is supported on current Windows operating systems. This will also allow you to secure your datastream using the current encryption standard i.e. TLS 1.2.
