I have Rumba 7.4 installed on my desktop and want to know if I can install this same one on a Windows 2008 server instead.
I would be removing it from my desktop, and will now be using it only when I connect to the server I plan to install it on.
Does anyone know if I need a special license to use Rumba on a server?
I do not need to a more current Rumba version as the 7.4 meets all my needs.

#Rumba#rumba7.4#ServerHi,
let me try to respond to your question.
I understood that you don't need a more current version but a Rumba Version dated from 2002 is officially not supported on Windows 2008. It may technically work, but if your AS/400 Application is business critical I recommend a more current version.
The standard License model for RUMBA is an authorized user License that doesn't allow the installation on a Server.
If you need to install it on a Server OS please make sure you check the Rumba Software EULA.
I would suggest you contact your Micro Focus Representative for advice. They can check if you're entitled for Server usage.
hope it helps
