Hi All,
I am a newbie to excel macros & RUMBA. It would be great if someone could help with a macro code to login to RUMBA & perform few actions on the screens, like entering a value & then clicking on "F9" or "F5" etc.
I really wish you can help me out here.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ashfaque
#macrorumba#Rumba#loginRUMBA has a full Macro Facility that will record your keystrokes as you enter them. Simply execute RUMBA and click on the "Record Macro" Icon (or go to the Tools Menu and select "Record Macro".) A second window will pop up and echo everything you enter. Enter the sequence of commands you wish to save. Hit "Record Macro" again and you will have the opportunity to save your work.
A Macro can be designated as a "start up" or "Connect" macro under Macro Properties. If you save this RUMBA session with a "Connect" Macro defined, RUMBA will execute that macro every time you start the program.
There are several options to get too and from Excel. Within RUMBA, there is an "Office Tools Menu". This copies either the full screen or Clipboard to an Excel spreadheet.
Within a RUMBA Macro, you can directly access Excel spreadsheets. You will need to use the Macro editor to insert these commands into a RUMBA Macro. The "Copy From" command will read information from Excel and place it into RUMBA. The "Paste To" command extracts data from RUMBA and copies it to Excel.
In addition, RUMBA has a scripting facility to help build applications that can start and control RUMBA. This is enabled via the "Script Engine" MSI delivered with RUMBA.
Feel free to contact Micro Focus Supportline if you need more information.
