Hello, I've been asked to create a demo of Microsoft Power Automate Desktop (PAD) and Rumba.  I can open a terminal session within PAD  using C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Micro Focus\\RUMBA\\System\\ehlapi32.Dll After that, nothing seems to occur. Any pointers to documentation, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Todd#Rumba

Hello from France,  At work, we are using an old version of 'Reflection for Unix and digital'.  To simply my job, I'm trying to write a vba macro to get text (numbers) from the screen. As the numbers change regularly, I would like to get the values from the screen every 30 seconds until a certain condition happens.  The problem is that when the macro is running, the screen doesn't update/refresh. I tried several things like 'doevents' with no success.  Is there a way I can run a macro with 'loop until' and let the screen update at the same time. I need to run the macro without blocking the screen. Any help would be much appreciated.  Best regards,  James #Reflection

I've used Rumba Mainframe at our company for many years with no issue, even following a transition to a new laptop having Windows 10 Enterprise operating system.  However, following a very recent automated pushed update to Windows, Rumba has suddenly become pretty much unusable.  The Rumba window displays massive fonts and only one-fourth of the entire screen is visible - it's as though looking through a magnifying glass at one small portion of what should be the entire window. The current Rumba version is 8.2.0 sp0 patch0. This happens on my Dell Lattitude laptop monitor, and also when plugged into HP s2031 Monitor (both/either set to 100% 1600 x 900). Rumba session is currently configured to TN3270 with Model 2  24 x 80, but have tried various different model options and none have solved the issue.  Have tried many differing combinations of the 'fixed aspect ratio' and 'fit to window' boxes under Options>Dispaly>Font t

Hello. I have developed numerous Excel VBA macros in Windows 10 that read and write data between an Excel workbook and a 3270 terminal opened with Attachmate Extra. I've been forced to upgrade to Reflection and now need to update all these macros. With Attachmate Extra, setting up the interface within the macro was easy. I start with FMS = GetObject("C:\\Users\\Public\\Documents\\Attachmate\\EXTRA!\\sessions\\Session1.EDP")Set FMSscreen = FMS.ScreenFMS.Visible = True (I call the EXTRA System object "FMS", because that's the name of the mainframe system I'm using)  Then, I could use methods like FMS.Screen.SendKeys or FMSscreen.GetString to write or read data from the terminal screen. Looking at the Reflection Desktop documentation, it appears as though there are a lot more steps required to set this up. It looks like you need the following (after checking off the Reflection Libraries in References), Set app = New Attachmate_Reflection_Objects_Framework.ApplicationOb

Hello, I am using Rumba+Desktop 10.1  on windows 64 bit pc with Excel 365 64 bit. I am trying to add a Mainframe emulator using Insert on "Developer" tab on Excel but the control "ObjectX Mainframe Display control" is not available(which is available in Excel 32 bit) so I also manually registered .ocx control and went back to register it but it gave an error "The specified file does not contain self registering Activex Control". Is there a substitute control I need to be referring too or is there a 64 bit version of Rumba +Desktop 10.1? Please assist.#ObjectXMainframeCOntrol#MissingMainframeDisplayControl#MainframeEmaulator#ActiveXControl#Excel64bit#Automation#Rumba+Desktop10.1#Rumba#ExcelorVBACode#MissingreferenceinExcel64bit
