Problem:
During the installation of RM/COBOL, a COBOL program can fail with the following message:
./install.sh: 638: ./install.sh: licverify: not found
-e ERROR: License installation failure.
Resolution:
If you are using a 32-bit version of RM/COBOL on a 64-bit Linux distribution, then, you will need to install the 32-bit support libraries on the system. The "Bad ELF interpreter..." RM/COBOL installation error message indicates that the 32-bit binary support packages are missing. In order to execute a 32-bit binary on a 64-bit Linux machine, however, the 32-bit compatibility libraries must be installed on the system.
Please contact the Linux distributor for additional support in regards to installing 32-bit binary support for their version of Linux.
