Hi tumtedum,

did you tried to install Rumba in a command line with passing value of VCREDIST_FOUND, as following:
%installPackageDir%\\Rumba.exe /v"VCREDIST_FOUND="Yes""

Are you using the rumba.exe or a rumba.msi package ? Try with the msi.

You can extract the msi from the exe via Rumba.exe /s /x /b"msi_save_path" /v"/qn"

If the info doesn't help can you please elaborate and provide:

- The Windows10 build number.
- List of installed Microsoft Visual C Redistributable
- Rumba installation log

For creating an installation log, you can use a command line which looks like this:

msiexec /i "C:\\tmp\\rumba.exe" /L*V "C:\\log\\rumba-install.log"

Hello Andree

We are facing the same issue with Micro-focus Rumba in Win 7 production environment. Though we had deployed the Rumba 9.4 long back but we are receiving the issue now from the users that they are unable to install the application. While installing the source msi we found its not able to detect the VCPP 2013 on the system and throwing error with please install the VCPP 2013 before proceeding.

I have went through the below suggestion but its not feasible to remove all the VCPP version and then reinstall the 2013.

Kindly suggest on the issue how we can proceed ahead.

. We have packaged version of Rumba 9.4 in our environment.

And we are using "Rumba_English.msi"  so please let us know the parameter if we can try with msi installer.

This is affecting our business. Hoping for your quick resolution.

Hi Shubham_Sh,
if you're using the rumba msi package please make sure you have deployed all the needed prerequisites.
Details information's can be found in the Rumba Administration guide.
You can skip the check for the Visual C Redistributable Package using the command line:
Rumba_English.msi VCREDIST_FOUND="Yes"

best regards

This package had been deployed long back(May be year or more) and was working till this week when we started receiving such installation failing issue. We have VCPP 2013, MS .Net 4.7.2 present on machine.

Could you please let me know if running application with Rumba_English.msi VCREDIST_FOUND="Yes"  wont affect the functionality of the application.

And out of blue why such issue is occurring though we have all perquisite in place from many years.

Regards

Shubham
